Definitions:
In the following sections us and we refer to Skipper Live Ltd and nav-school.com and you refers to you, our customer.

Authorisation to run RYA theory courses:
Skipper Live Ltd. is recognised as a training centre by the Royal Yachting Association to provide online training courses by distance learning.

Payment:
Payment for course fees are due, in full, at the time of enrolment. Payment can be made by credit or debit card, by bank transfer or by cheque in GBP, drawn on a UK bank. In the case of payment by bank transfer or cheque we reserve the right to allow the payment to clear before dispatching your student pack. We are PCI-DSS compliant and we do not retain any details regarding credit or debit cards.

Enrolment:
We are registered under the Data Protection Act. We will not disclose information we hold about you unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have agreed in writing in advance. By enrolling you confirm that we may hold necessary business information about you including your name, address, telephone number and course booked.

Any contract between you and us shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. All dealings, correspondence and contact between us and you shall be made or conducted in the English language.

Course Pack delivery:
After taking your booking, wherever possible, we aim to dispatch your course pack on the next working day using the postal system.

Your notification period (for cancellation or warranty purposes) starts from the delivery date.
We cannot accept liability if it is lost or damaged after that time.
Lost material will be replaced at a charge.
Please let us know within 7 working days of the delivery date if anything in your course pack is damaged, faulty or missing.

Distance selling agreement:
Under the United Kingdom’s Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order for up to seven working days from the day after that on which the goods are received from nav-school.com.
Should you choose to begin your course before the arrival of the course package in the post, you waive your right to cancel the course.
To cancel your course booking please send an e-mail to: info@nav-school.com

Any goods supplied by us to you through the post must be returned unopened and in an as new condition.
Damaged goods will result in a refund less the cost of the goods.

Goods must be returned within 10 working days of cancellation of the course at the customer’s expense.

Goods not received within 10 working days will be charged for and the cost deducted from the payment refund.

For your protection we recommend you use a recorded delivery service.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us.

The Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002:

nav-school.com courses and course packages are deemed to have a product life of twelve months from the delivery date.
During this time we will provide you with support and marking services.

Should you fail to complete your course within 12 months we will, at our discretion, extend your course for a further six months.
To continue beyond that time you must purchase a course update which will give you a further 12 months.
You will need to contact us for details.

General:
We have taken great care in preparing our course material but we can accept no responsibility or liability for any errors, omissions or alterations, or for consequences ensuing upon the reliance of, or use of any information contained in any of our courses.

As part of our policy for continuous improvement of our courses we reserve the right to make alterations and changes without notice.

WARNING: The charts and tidal information contained in the nav-school.com courses are to be used for training purposes only. They must not be used for navigation.

The chart information in the nav-school.com Courses is reproduced under licence from both the RYA and the Hydrographic Office of the United Kingdom.
